Thank goodness for having Papas

Just a quick update on our ever growing project list.
Papa Schneider has been kind enough to volunteer his services at finishing the paint job on Luke's crib. And Papa Jackson has been equally kind in offering to paint Luke's nursery. What a relief! Rob and I are so thankful for all the love, help and support!
As far as the doggie door goes....we have a handyman coming on Friday to see if it's even possible!

22.3 weeks and counting!

Little boy Luke is now 22.3 weeks old and growing so big! He is once again breech, in the bottom to feet down position. Which would explain the somersaults he's done a few times! He is facing my back which makes getting some good ultrasound pictures difficult. He is still unwilling to show his face but more than happy to let everyone know he's a BOY!

Boo Hoo

By special request (read: by DEMAND) the blog is back and open to the public. If anyone steals my pictures and identity you people who had trouble getting access are in trouble!
You know who you are!

Luke video #2

Here is the video from our ultrasound today. It's a little long (17 minutes) but fun to watch. Enjoy!
My IT guy is on the case....the video was too long and it got booted off You Tube :)

20 weeks and 3 days

Little Luke's face and a hand above.
Two perfect little feet!
It's a BOY!
It's a BOY!
The little things that look like bubbles are sections of the umbilical cord.

There are times when it comes in handy to know a bunch of OB doctors. Frequent ultrasounds has been a big perk for us. Baby Luke is now 429 grams which is 15 ounces. He's almost a full pound!! Today was a more formal ultrasound where they look closely at the heart and take measurements of everything! All checked out well. We go back again on July 3rd with hopes of getting some 3D/4D images :) We also took some video of this entire ultrasound. To be posted soon!

Update on the Gimp

A quick update on my home health care patient:

Rob had surgery on 4-16-07 and all went as planned. The doctor said that he found pretty much what he was expecting when he went in. He thinks that this series of operations will do the trick to get Rob up and well not exactly running but at least walking without pain! He has a three inch incision and a much smaller one for the scope to fit through. He's had two follow up appointments so far and today had the remaining seven staples removed.

Note to self- don't get staples.

I've never seen Rob turn so pale and pasty before! As far as pain goes...he is in a lot of it. He does a lot of sleeping and A LOT of dungeon quests or whatever you call them on World of Warcraft. I just hope this game will be out of his system when the baby comes! So everything is on track for the second operation to happen approximately four months after the first one. Send out all heal quickly vibes so that we may be able to have it sooner so that it's not 1/2 month before the baby comes!!

PS
I spared you all pictures of his knee. Be thankful.

Busy Busy Busy

My oh my have Rob and I been busy these past few weeks. We have baby appointments, knee appointments, physical therapy appointments, school and the normal day to day errands to squeeze in when we can. One thing we did manage to accomplish before the doctors cut into Rob's knee was finding a family car. We are proud to introduce our new little gas guzzler the Honda Pilot to our family. Our little sports car Acura will be turned in on Monday.

Baby Appt #4

We had another OB appointment today and it was very exciting! This was the first time that Grandma-Nana-Grammie Eschinger came with us. Here are a couple ultrasound shots we came home with. The first below is of little Luke's face. It looks more like a skeleton but I love it! The second one you can actually count five little toes! We have our formal ultrasound on 5-15-07 and we hope to have both Nana's in tow! A few baby stats:
Luke weighs 312 grams which is nearly 12 ounces! This puts our little one at 20 weeks and 6 days. For those keeping track we are at 18 weeks and 5 days. Am I going to give birth to a linebacker?? Luke is also currently breech--bottom down.
