9-10 month check up

It's hard to believe you are getting so big. Daddy took you to your nine month check up today. We were a little late in making the appointment so you are nearly 10 months!
Your growth stats are as follows:
Weight 22 pounds 15 ounces or 82%

Height 29 1/4 inches or 80%

Head circumference 18 1/4 or 80%

You are busy crawling all over the place, pulling yourself up on everything and cruising around furniture! You love pulling straws out of our cups and you giggle all the time! You still haven't said Mama yet but you have perfected Dada and have even said Daddy a few times. You babble all the time...if only we knew what you were saying! You love fruit, veggies, yogurt, turkey and chicken. Not only do you have a sweet tooth but you seem to like tart things as well! You are obsessed with trash cans and going under Mommys desk!

Lukers and his Nana

Nana just got home from California and she knows how much you love monkeys! Nana bought this super cute Paul Frank monkey because his arms and legs are perfect for you to suck on. I know it sounds kinda gross but ever since you were very little you loved to suck on the little ears of all your stuffed animals and your blankets. You were never one to really take a pacifier but you do love to suck and snuggle things. You will suck one part and rub another soft part on your cheek. Mommy and Daddy call them your snuggle nite nite toys.

Let's Go Swimming!

Getting all greased with sunscreen!
What a bod!
YAY! I love swimming!
Splashing with Daddy.
Today was your first day ever in the swimming pool. Mommy and Daddy took you over to Nana and Papa Schneider's house. It was a really hot day so it felt good to get in the water. You were so excited the moment I put your toes in! You loved being able to float and kick your legs in your ladybug. You eventually got tired and wanted out but I think we will do a lot more swimming this summer!

Locked in or locked out?

Now that you are a man on the move we have to use the gate at the top of the stairs for more than just keeping the dogs out. Frequently you crawl over and have a chat with Pekerman. He's sad he can't come in and your sad you can't leave! I think if we switched places you would both want to be on the other side of the gate.

And the afro continues to grow

Everyday your hair makes me smile. People stop us at the mall and grocery store and ask us what we do to make your hair stand up straight. We've even had people ask if we gel it that way! I keep thinking that one day it will get to heavy to stand on it's own. One day it finally will and I'll miss your fluff!
