Say Cheese!

Look who learned what the camera is! Luke every time you hear the shutter make it's distinct noise you turn and smile. You have become such a little poser for the camera. If we don't get our candid shot in the first go we have to try again another time because you just look right at the camera and smile!

No eggplant please

As it turns out everyone but your Mom knew that eggplant is a bit exotic! This is what happens when you eat eggplant. In a split second your face went red and you started to sound a little wheezy! We told the doctor today about this experience and he said "nobody likes eggplant anyway! No big deal." Phew!

Easter has come

Your first Easter has come and gone already. You had a nice day with Daddy today while Mommy was at work (I sure missed you!). You went over to the Foster's Home and watched the bigger kids hunt for eggs. Just think next year we will dye eggs and watch you hunt for them...at the very least we will eat candy! Thank you so much for my Easter candy you left for me when I got home. What a nice surprise! You and Daddy make a pretty sweet duo. Mommy loves her boys!

Sniff Sniff Cough Cough

I recently read in a baby magazine that it's not uncommon for babies to get 8-10 colds a year and something like 4 ear infections. I didn't imagine it possible but now that you have the runny nose and bad cough again I'm starting to think it's possible! Poor little guy. You went to bed last night at an amazing 6:30 and slept all the way until 8am. You seem kinda miserable sneezing and coughing all day long. You just went back down for a nap with a little fussing but you need it! Mommy and Daddy hope you feel better really soon and we REALLY hope we don't have to break out your breathing machine. The good news is that you aren't pulling on your ear anymore. I hope the fluid is all gone by your next check up and stays gone!

Sippy Cups!

You are getting so big it's already time to learn to drink from a cup! Nana and Papa Schneider bought you some really cool sippy cups and here is a shot of you trying one out for the first time. You weren't quite sure what to do with it but you had fun playing with it and banging it on the high chair making lots of noise! You sure were a sticky mess at the end of breakfast...I think next time we will try water until you get the hang of this cup thing.

Rolling about

Well look who can roll in both directions now! Mommy and Daddy were very impressed when you went from your back to your tummy first (rumor is that's the harder way to go!). But how equally exciting it was when Daddy went to comfort you into taking a nap and just like that you went from your tummy to your back! Every day it seems as if you learn a new trick. Every day I don't think it's possible to love you any more than I did the day before but it is! Another new trick you've been practicing is saying Dada over and over. Daddy even heard your say mama once or twice. Keep up the hard work buddy! We love all of these "firsts"!

Six Months

It's hard to believe that it's already been six months! We just got back from the doctors office and here are your current stats: weight 20 lbs 14 ounces 95%, height 27 1/2 inches 82%, head circumference 17 1/2 75%
The doctor said you looked great except for a little fluid in your ear. He wants to see you back in a month to check it out. You also got four shots today! You weren't a big fan of them but once they were finished you calmed right down. We also go the go ahead to start stage two foods. So be on the watch for some little lumps in dinner tonight. So many exciting things are on the way for you!

Someone has the giggles

Today was a busy day! We got up early then took a nap and before you knew it we were on our way to have lunch with the girls from nursing school. We went to Dilly's Deli one of Mommy's favorite places. You were such a good boy the whole time. You sat in your stroller and played with your monkey the whole time I ate! As if on cue once I was finished you were hungry. After lunch we went to visit Ambrey and Olivia. We took several pictures of you both looking so cute. This one isn't my favorite but it's the only one that seems to want to load! You were a great boy as always. It was so cute when you noticed Ambrey's dogs you looked down and them and just giggled away. And I don't mean one little laugh I mean near hiccup inducing laughter. You sent Ambrey running for her video camera it was so darn cute. The giggles didn't stop there either. After Ambrey's house we went home for a quick dinner and off it was to Uncle Patrick's all star basketball game. You weren't too sure of all the noise at first but you adjusted quickly. After the game Mommy and Daddy needed dinner. We all went to Jordans where you giggled away at your banana! You captivated the whole restaurant with your adorable laugh. It was a great day!
