What a day we had!
Luke we had such a fun day listening to you giggle, watching you smile and seeing you give everyone hugs! You woke up so happy today. Mommy and Daddy can't help but consider ourselves blessed to wake up to you each and every day. We had our usual snuggle time in bed this morning and then you and Daddy headed off to Costco with Nana S. You came home and took a short nap in your crib and then another short nap in Mommy's arms. Then it was time for dinner! We sent Daddy off to the baseball game and dinner began. This was unlike any other dinner however. It's become a bit of a routine to check your gums for teeth these days. You've been drooling like mad and putting everything in your mouth since you were four months old. We just knew one day a tooth would appear. This time when I checked your gums there actually was a tooth! A perfect little sharp as a razor tooth peeking through your little pink gums. Your first tooth is your # 25 tooth, the bottom, middle right! Congrats!
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree...
About once a week we head over to Aunt Suzanne's and Uncle Mikes house for dinner and fun. It's so fun to watch you and Baby Cate play. You share her toys so nicely and play together like old friends. At the end of the evening you shared a bath together. You were a bit of a bully in the tub! You bulldozed right over Cate to get to the drain. You're always trying to figure out how to let the water out. You loved the new toys to play with and the flashing ducks were a favorite of Mommies! I'm so happy that our family is so close that we can all watch you grow! How wonderful it is to share all of your accomplishments with friends and family.
You've gotten very adventurous now that you can move about and explore your surroundings. One of your favorite things to do is dive off of Mommys lap and lung towards your nightlight. You just can't wait to get your little hands on it. You also love to try and take a nose dive off the bed. I still can figure out what it is that you want so badly on the night stand but you are ever so persistant to try and get it! Another new favorite is Mommys old rocking horse. You love to eat his ears and pull on his tail. This morning you were especially interested in the horse. You crawled all the way across the room, got to your knees and still couldn't reach his ears so you just pulled yourself up! It was so fun to be there watching you explore your world and work so hard to get to what you wanted. Before we know it you'll be walking!
